Free live score updater for cricket tournaments
PTV Sports Live - HD: Cricket Live Streaming is a free sports mobile app that allows you to check the scores of ongoing and recently-finished cricket matches. Developed by Niazi TV, this lifestyle app shows results gathered from the data of the popular PTV Sports channel of Pakistan.
Not to be confused with other apps of nearly the same name, PTV Sports Live - HD: Cricket Live Streaming focuses more on delivering live scores rather than offering live streams of matches. It pales in comparison to most livestream apps for PTV Sports as its features are hardly worth the space on your mobile device.
Pakistan’s fave cricket competition
PTV Sports is a 24-hour sports channel owned by the Pakistan Television Corporation—Pakistan's state broadcaster. It was first launched in 2012 and retains exclusive broadcasting rights for many sporting events—most notably badminton, cricket, football, hockey, and tennis tournaments. To keep up with the competition between cable TV and the internet, this channel can also be found operating online and even has a number of mobile apps hosting it.
One of these is PTV Sports Live - HD: Cricket Live Streaming—but contrary to its name, there’s hardly any live-streaming to be found. Instead, this app’s main feature is displaying live scores of popular cricket competitions, such as the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It’s handy enough if you’d like to follow the current and upcoming matches but it’s not that noteworthy due to the lack of any other feature.
When you launch the app, it’ll display a prompt to update and download Niazi TV’s more developed app, Niazi Tube. On the top-right corner, you can tap on the drop-down menu to see all of the app’s features. There are five sections: Home, Live Scores, WC Schedule, Update App, and Privacy Policy. Unfortunately, only Live Scores and WC Schedule actually work—but the latter is in Urdu and can’t be changed.
There are better rival apps
All in all, PTV Sports Live - HD: Cricket Live Streaming works well enough but it’s not the best mobile companion for users who want more out of their livestreaming apps. Not only are its features’ functionalities and performances highly disappointing, but a different app is being advertised on its home page, as well. You’re better off trying other similar apps.
